Miss Kara has been directing LuHi’s Kickline, Dance, and Pom program for over 20 years. She received her BFA in Dance from Adelphi University and her MFA from NYU’s Tisch School of the arts. Miss Kara also danced professionally in New York City for 12 years and continues to perform and teach dance to young performers today. Miss Kara is also a certified yoga instructor and brings the practices of yoga and mindfulness to all of her programs at LuHi. She is an outstanding teacher and role model for her students and campers.

The Kickline, Dance, and Pom program here at LuHi combines elements from different dance genres, kickline, and cheerleading. During the two-week session, campers learn multiple pieces of choreography in hip-hop & jazz, kickline, cheer, and pom work. Miss Kara and her team of professional instructors create a positive and encouraging environment for the girls in the program, helping them to increase their skills as well as their self-confidence, creativity, and teamwork.
