DIRECTOR

Ferraiolo Fencing: Jimmy Ferraiolo & Johnny Ferraiolo

We are proud to partner with Ferraiolo Fencing, a premier training program based in Brooklyn, New York. This organization provides top-tier training in fencing through group classes and private lessons. Ferraiolo Fencing and their staff have been a staple here at LuHi for many years as they are committed to our same mission of fostering the development of the whole child through athletics.

Fencing is one of the fastest-growing sports in the United States, and opportunities to participate on Long Island high school teams can be limited. LuHi’s Fencing Program offers campers the chance to try something new, develop key skills, and potentially continue fencing with school teams, local clubs, or even in college.

Open to all experience levels, our fencing program provides a well-rounded schedule that balances skill development, physical conditioning, and engaging camp activities. Campers will receive instruction in all three disciplines of fencing—Epee, Foil, and Saber—while learning footwork, blade work, and match strategy. Training includes structured drills, electrical bouts, and friendly competitions to build confidence and technique.

Beyond fencing, campers participate in general athletic conditioning to enhance agility and endurance, as well as recreational activities to ensure a fun and dynamic summer experience. The program also embraces the full LuHi camp spirit, incorporating camp-wide theme days, performances, and special events.

The two-week session culminates in a tournament-style showcase where campers can put their skills to the test in a friendly, competitive environment.

All necessary fencing equipment is provided—campers only need to wear gym clothes and sneakers!
