Harold Kennedy is the STEM Coordinator at LuHi and has held that position for 10 years. Over that time he has established the school’s FIRST Tech Challenge team that has qualified for the World Championship twice and is consistently ranked in the top of all Long Island teams. Additionally, he has founded the school’s eSports team that competes with teams in League of Legends, SMASH: Ultimate, and Rocket League. Over the years, Harold and his team of counselors have cultivated a creative, fun, and exciting environment for all campers.
LuHi’s Competitive Gaming & E-Sports Program is the perfect opportunity for campers to game in a responsible way! Train with coaches to take your gaming to the next level, playing a myriad of today’s most popular games. Explore the casual side of gaming and challenge yourself to go retro and speedrun some classic games. Dig deeper into the games you love by analyzing the patterns of the pros and discussing the games’ current meta. With the help of the coaches, you’ll learn how to avoid the pitfalls of gaming, while mining strategies that are needed to be competitive.
