A Message from Coach Buck

I hope the end of the school year is wrapping up well for you all! Here at LuHi, we are eagerly looking forward to finishing the final weeks of classes strong. It has been a unique year, but one that has gone very well.

During the month of May, several of our alumni often stop back to visit. This past week, current Ohio State University Buckeye Zed Key came by to say hello to our current players and to work on his game. Zed is a special young man. The growth he showed during his career at LuHi was incredible. Zed went from being our 6th man during his junior year to becoming our leading scorer and earning 1st team All New York State his senior year. He saw significant minutes as a freshman at Ohio State and will be competing for a spot on Team USA’s U19 team in June.

Zed is one of the most genuine and respectful players I have ever coached. He embodies the qualities that we hope every LuHi Basketball player or camper will learn. Passionate, hard-working, resilient, and humble are just some of the adjectives I would use to describe Zed. He brings positivity and joy to any room he walks into. Zed is only at the beginning of an exciting journey and I look forward to seeing his continued growth.

I would love the opportunity to work with your camper this summer, helping him achieve his potential while having a ton of fun! Spots are filling up quickly for our sessions, which will involve skill development, games, and exciting guests like Zed! Please let us know if you have any questions about the basketball program. I can’t wait to get back on the court soon!
