Transportation

Here at LuHi you have the opportunity to customize your transportation options, doing whatever works best for you and your family! We have three distinct transportation options: Centralized Transportation, Door to Door Transportation, & Parent Drop-Off / Pick-Up.

Centralized Transportation: Designated pick-up and drop-off locations will be arranged at schools, churches, and public parks across Long Island. This system will allow for shorter and more direct routes to campus as well as more accurate arrival and departure times.  There will also be a LuHi counselor on every bus to ensure the safety of all campers.  Centralized transportation is included in the tuition price for each program.

Pick-Up & Drop-Off: Parents and/or guardians will have the option of dropping their child off at LuHi during specific time frames, with both before and aftercare available for an additional cost. Our enhanced drop-off and pick-up procedures will allow for a streamlined and safe process.  Families who choose this option for the entire session will save $100 off their tuition.

Door to Door Transportation: Our team works incredibly hard to provide as much flexibility as possible, knowing that our efforts will allow families to customize their summer in whatever way works best for them! The cost of Door to Door Transportation is $275 per week, per camper, in addition to the cost of each program. Door to door transportation routes may include a centralized transportation stop. Availability is dependent on your location & enrollment.

Please Note: To guarantee door-to-door transportation, families must be registered for the service prior to May 15th, 2024. Door to door transportation routes may include a centralized transportation stop. Availability is dependent on your location & enrollment.

Central locations may be added, removed, or adjusted based on enrollment needs Session to Session. All Central Locations should be within 3 miles of your family’s home. In areas where we have more dense enrollment, locations are typically closer to a 1.5 mile radius.

Specifics about your family’s official central location assignment, timing, bus counselors, and procedures are provided to families via email once that information has been confirmed by our bus companies, typically the Thursday or Friday before each Session begins.
